For the growth and well-being of reef-building corals, an adequate supply of strontium is just as important as the availability of calcium and magnesium. Although strontium is present in significantly lower quantities in seawater, strontium deficiency can still occur through biological processes, precipitation, and incorporation into calcareous skeletons.

Tropic Marin ^® BIO-STRONTIUM supplies the reef with strontium and carbon dioxide in a biodegradable, crystalline form, thus supporting the healthy development of corals. Unlike the simple addition of strontium chloride, this method does not disrupt the ion balance.
