To thrive, corals require minimum concentrations of phosphates and nitrogen compounds for their metabolism and the metabolism of their zooxanthellae. A deficiency of these nutrients can occur, especially in very nutrient-poor aquariums (ULNS = Ultra Low Nutrient System ) .
Tropic Marin® Plus-NP supplies phosphates and nitrogen compounds in concentrations tailored to the corals' needs. Combined with an organic energy source, nitrogen and phosphates are more readily usable by corals than with the addition of inorganic nutrient salts. Nutrient losses due to denitrification and adsorption are thus minimized, nutrient deficiencies in the corals are prevented, and growth resumes.
The liquid Plus-NP concentrate is easy to use and suitable for both manual dosing and dosing pumps.
